Service Agreement (Effective 01/01/26)
This Agreement governs all current and future pet care services provided by Paternal Pet Care, LLC.
1. Keys and Home Access
Client authorizes PPC, LLC to enter the premises to perform agreed-upon services. PPC, LLC requires a minimum of one (1) working key for all client homes. Keys may not be left under mats, hidden on the property, mailed via standard mail, or locked inside the home on the final visit. Garage door openers may be accepted in addition to, but not in place of, a physical key.
2. Rates and Services
For and in consideration of the fees paid by Client, PPC, LLC agrees to provide pet care services as requested and scheduled. Current services and rates are published on the Paternal Pet Care website and client portal and are subject to change.
3. Minimum Visit Requirements
To comply with insurance requirements and ensure the health and well-being of pets:
Cats and small animals must be visited at least once every 24 hours (every 12 hours strongly recommended).
Dogs without independent potty access (such as a pet door) require a minimum of three (3) daily visits.
Visit times are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, emergencies, or the needs of other pets in care. PPC, LLC will use its best judgment in caring for all pets.
Additional services may incur a supplemental fee of $20, including but not limited to: supply pickups, veterinary visits, emergency after-hours vet visits, extensive incidental clean-up, or waiting for repair or emergency service personnel. These charges will be added to the client’s next invoice.
4. Client Responsibilities and Supplies
Client agrees to provide all necessary and safe supplies for their pet(s), including but not limited to: properly fitted collars or harnesses, leashes, food, medication, litter, cleaning supplies, and vaccination tags.
Client authorizes PPC, LLC to purchase any necessary items required to properly care for the pet(s) if supplies are unavailable. Client agrees to reimburse PPC, LLC for the cost of such items plus a $20 service fee, billed to the next invoice.
5. Payment, Scheduling, and Cancellation Policy
Payment Terms
Payment for all services is due no later than seven (7) days prior to the first scheduled day of service, unless otherwise stated in writing by PPC, LLC. Payment is not considered made until it has been successfully received and processed.
Frequently missed payments not received by the due date may result in a late fee of five dollars ($5.00) per calendar day applied beginning the day after payment was due and will continue to accrue until paid in full.
If full payment has not been received prior to the start of service, all scheduled services will be canceled, and PPC, LLC shall have no obligation to provide care. Clients with outstanding balances may not request or schedule additional services until their account is paid in full.
Accepted Payment Methods
Payments must be submitted through the approved payment methods available in the Precise Pet Care system via the Paternal Pet Care website or client portal. Accepted methods include credit cards and any additional options made available through the platform.
Service Requests, Changes, and Cancellations
All service requests, scheduling changes, and cancellations must be submitted through the client Pet Portal using the Request, Cancelation, or Request Changes selections on the “Schedule” page. Requests, scheduling changes, and cancellations will not be accepted through messages, notes, or other methods not specified above. The Pet Portal serves as the official system of record for scheduling and service communication.
Requests made within twenty-four (24) hours of the start of service must also be submitted by text message to ensure timely review. Submission of a request does not guarantee availability or approval.
PPC, LLC is not responsible for missed, delayed, or incorrect services resulting from requests submitted through unsupported communication methods.
Cancellation Policy
The following minimum notice requirements apply:
Dog Walking: 24 hours’ notice
Drop-In Visits and Vacation Pet Sitting: 7 days’ notice
Overnight Services: 7 days’ notice
Cancellations made after the required notice period will be charged in full.
6. Parking Access and Vehicle Activity Notification
Client agrees to provide reasonable and legal parking access for PPC, LLC during all scheduled service visits. This includes ensuring that driveways, assigned spaces, or nearby permitted street parking are available when applicable.
If parking access may be temporarily limited due to construction, guests, neighbors, or household members moving or rearranging vehicles, Client agrees to notify PPC, LLC in advance through the Pet Portal or by text message. This helps prevent delays and avoids activity that may appear suspicious or unsafe during service visits.
PPC, LLC is not responsible for missed or delayed services resulting from lack of available parking, restricted access, or failure to notify about vehicle or access changes.
7. Shared Responsibility / Access by Others
PPC, LLC maintains a strict No Shared Responsibility Policy in order to comply with insurance requirements. No other individual or company may provide pet care services during the scheduled service period.
